Setting up Microsoft Outlook

Here's how to configure Microsoft Outlook:

  • Open Microsoft Outlook
  • Click on the Tools menu
  • Select Email Accounts
  • Select Add a new e-mail account
  • Select POP3 as the type

    Make sure the following information is entered in the text fields:
    Your name: [insert your name here or what you want the receiving person to see displayed in their Inbox]
    Email address: [insert your email address here; example: me@safetynet.co.nz]
    Incoming Mail server (POP3): pop.safetynet.co.nz
    Outgoing Mail server (SMTP): smtp.safetynet.co.nz
    User Name: [insert your email address here. This is your Account User Name]
    Password [enter your password here]
  • Click on Next
  • Click on Finished
  • Close Microsoft Outlook (the next time you start it, the settings will take affect)
Your configuration is complete!
